The 30 Commandments

Some guidelines or values  (rather than “commandments”) which I believe will help motivate me towards my goals and help me achieve everything I hope to achieve with “Becoming Thirty”.

How do you feel about these values? What are your core values or guidelines for action? Feel free to share.

  1. Treat others as you wish to be treated yourself
  2. Take responsibility for your own thoughts and actions
  3. Be grateful
  4. Be truthful
  5. Always make eye contact and smile at others
  6. Be polite
  7. Be patient
  8. Endeavour to do you very best, even in the worst situations
  9. Be open-minded and non-judgemental
  10. Be flexible
  11. Do not take life too seriously
  12. Listen
  13. Share
  14. Do not gossip
  15. Honour your father and your mother
  16. Respect the earth and all things natural created from it
  17. Be curious
  18. Be diligent
  19. Take time to reflect
  20. Dance
  21. Believe in something, or someone
  22. Face your fears
  23. Be mindful of what you consume
  24. Think to the future and do not dwell on the past
  25. Be mindful of your body and your wellbeing
  26. Read with children
  27. Create
  28. Meditate
  29. Dream, and dream big
  30. Be forgiving
